The Silent Gliss 1080 Uncorded Metal Curtain Track is one of Europe’s most popular hand drawn curtain track systems, offering an excellent balance of smooth operation, flexibility and durability.

Designed for light to medium weight curtains, the 1080 is manufactured from high-grade aluminium and features a pre-siliconised running channel for exceptionally smooth and quiet curtain movement.

Its slim yet durable profile makes it suitable for a wide range of residential and commercial installations, including straight windows, bay windows, bow windows and arched layouts.

The Silent Gliss 1080 can be professionally bent in our factory by trained engineers using specialist tooling, allowing the track to accommodate curved applications and reverse bends with a minimum bend radius of 100mm. Precision bending services and excellent craftsmanship ensure an accurate fit and smooth operation for bespoke window configurations.

Suitable for both ceiling fixing and wall fixing, the track is compatible with standard universal brackets, top-fix brackets and extension brackets depending on the installation requirements.

Available in a range of finishes including white, silver, black and bronze, the 1080 can be coordinated with matching bracket finishes to suit different interiors.

The track is also practical for on-site adjustments, as the aluminium profile can be resized using a junior hacksaw if required.

Yes. The Silent Gliss 1080 can be professionally bent to suit bay windows, bow windows, arched windows and curved layouts.

2. Is this track suitable for heavy curtains?

The Silent Gliss 1080 is designed for light to medium weight curtains. For heavyweight curtains, we would recommend the Silent Gliss 1280.

3. What fixing options are available?

The track can be installed using standard face-fix brackets, top-fix ceiling brackets or compatible extension brackets.

4. Can the track be cut down on site?

Yes. The aluminium profile can be resized using a junior hacksaw if adjustments are required during installation.

5. Is the Silent Gliss 1080 compatible with wave curtains?

No. The Silent Gliss 1080 is not compatible with wave curtain headings.

6. Will the track be supplied in one piece?

Tracks up to 6m are generally supplied as a single piece unless advised otherwise. Longer tracks may be supplied in sections with a connecting bridge.

7. How many gliders are supplied with the track?

Approximately 14 gliders per metre are included as standard.

8. What colours are available?
