The Silent Gliss 7670 Standard Motorised Metropole combines the appearance of a decorative 38mm curtain pole with the performance and convenience of a motorised curtain system.
Designed for residential, hospitality and commercial interiors where a conventional electric curtain track may not suit the design brief, the 7670 allows curtains to travel on concealed internal rollers while retaining the clean appearance of a contemporary Metropole.
The system can be supplied straight or professionally shaped for bay and curved window applications, making it a useful option for projects where both appearance and motorised operation are important.
Available in 13 finishes, with coordinating brackets, end caps and finials, the 7670 offers considerable flexibility for interior designers, curtain makers, installers and other trade professionals.
The SG 7670 uses a 38mm aluminium Metropole profile with the curtain suspended from rollers running within the profile.
This differs from a conventional curtain pole where the curtain hangs from rings around the outside of the pole.
The internal running system allows the 7670 to provide the visual appearance of a decorative pole while delivering the controlled movement expected from a Silent Gliss motorised curtain system.
The 7670 is powered by the Silent Gliss SG 9060 motor.
The motor provides smooth opening and closing together with:
This Standard configuration is intended primarily for wired control and is supplied without radio remote operation.
The system can be connected to an appropriate wall switch or incorporated into a compatible home or building automation installation.
Alternative control configurations are available where radio, remote or smart-control functionality is required.
Electrical installation should be undertaken by a suitably qualified electrician.
One of the key advantages of the SG 7670 is its suitability for shaped installations.
The system can be professionally formed to suit:
Bent systems are manufactured to the required dimensions and geometry rather than being manually bent on site.
For shaped installations, accurate survey information is essential. Bradbury Tracks can provide technical support where assistance is required with measuring, specification or system suitability.
The 7670 can be specified for Silent Gliss Wave curtain heading, using the appropriate Wave roller configuration to produce regular, consistent curtain folds.
It is also suitable for a wide range of traditional hooked curtain headings, including pencil pleat and pinch pleat.
Eyelet curtains are not suitable, as the curtains must be suspended beneath the profile from the internal roller system.
Subject to the individual system configuration, the Silent Gliss 7670 can accommodate installations of up to:
What is the Silent Gliss 7670?
The Silent Gliss 7670 is a 38mm motorised Metropole curtain pole.
It combines a decorative pole profile with an internal roller system and powered curtain operation, allowing the system to provide the appearance of a contemporary curtain pole without relying on traditional curtain rings.
Which motor is used with the SG 7670?
The SG 7670 uses the Silent Gliss SG 9060 motor.
This provides powered operation together with Touch & Go, soft start/stop and manual override functionality.
What is the difference between the 7670 Standard and radio-controlled versions?
The Standard configuration is intended primarily for wired operation and does not include radio remote control.
It can be connected to an appropriate wall switch or incorporated into a compatible control system.
Alternative control configurations are available where remote or smart-home functionality is required.
Can the SG 7670 be integrated with a building automation system?
Yes. The 7670 can be incorporated into compatible home and building-control systems, subject to the required control configuration and project design.
For integration projects, we recommend confirming the control requirements before placing the order.
Can the Silent Gliss 7670 be used for bay windows?
Yes. The system can be professionally bent to suit angled bays, curved bays and other shaped window layouts.
For complex installations, dimensions and angles should be accurately surveyed before manufacture.
Can Bradbury Tracks bend the SG 7670?
The 7670 requires specialist manufacture and bending due to the internal motorised components.
Current shaped systems are produced to specification by Silent Gliss rather than being manually formed on site.
Contact our trade team if you require assistance specifying a shaped 7670 system.
Is the 7670 suitable for Wave curtains?
Yes. The SG 7670 can be supplied with the appropriate Wave roller configuration for use with Wave curtains.
Which other curtain headings can be used?
The system is suitable for most conventional hooked curtain headings, including pencil pleat and pinch pleat.
Eyelet curtains are not compatible because the curtains are suspended beneath the profile from the internal rollers.
What is the maximum length of the SG 7670?
The SG 7670 can be supplied up to 6 metres, subject to the individual system design and configuration.
What is the maximum curtain weight?
The system can accommodate curtains weighing up to 45kg, subject to system configuration.
Length, bends, curtain configuration and fixing method may affect the permissible load, so heavier applications should be checked prior to manufacture.
What is Touch & Go?
Touch & Go enables the user to initiate curtain movement with a gentle manual pull.
The motor detects the movement and then completes the opening or closing cycle automatically.
Can the curtains still be operated during a power failure?
Yes. The SG 9060 incorporates a manual override function which allows the curtains to be moved manually if electrical power is unavailable.
Can the SG 7670 be ceiling fixed?
Yes. Wall and ceiling fixing configurations are available.
Bracket selection and spacing should be appropriate for the system size, curtain load, substrate and any bends within the installation.
Do you offer technical support for trade projects?
Yes. Bradbury Tracks can assist trade customers with system selection, bay and curved configurations, curtain weight considerations, fixing requirements and motorised curtain specification.
For more complex installations, send us the window dimensions, curtain weight, heading type and required control method and our team can help review the project before ordering.
