The Silent Gliss 7610 Metropole is a 30mm diameter aluminium curtain track system designed to combine the appearance of a decorative curtain pole with the functionality of a precision track. It operates without cords, instead using integrated gliders that travel within a concealed channel for smooth, reliable curtain movement.

Replacing the earlier 6130 model, the 7610 is one of Silent Gliss' most adaptable systems. It supports medium to heavy curtain fabrics and is compatible with wave gliders or optional roller gliders for enhanced movement across long lengths or heavier loads. Capable of spanning up to 600cm in a single unjointed length, it is particularly well-suited for large windows, patio doors, and continuous installations.

A key advantage of the 7610 is its ability to be professionally bent for bay windows, including curved or angled configurations. This makes it suitable for both modern and traditional architectural settings. Unlike wooden poles, which cannot be curved, the 7610 maintains the visual appeal of wood-effect finishes while allowing full bending flexibility.

The system is available in fifteen colours and a wide selection of Silent Gliss finials, including glass, metal, and geometric styles. It features a dual-channel design, separating the bracket and glider tracks to ensure unobstructed movement whether face-fixed to a wall or flush-mounted to a ceiling.

Bracket spacing is advised at 60–80cm intervals. Gliders are supplied at a standard rate of 10 per metre, with optional wave or roller glider systems available on request.

FAQs

What’s the difference between the 7610 and 1003 or 7600 systems?
The 7610 has a 30mm profile, making it more substantial than the 1003 (23mm) and more decorative in appearance than the 7600. It also offers wider finish and finial options.

Is the 7610 suitable for bay windows?
Yes. It can be custom-bent to fit bay and curved window configurations, offering more flexibility than traditional wooden poles.

What is the maximum length available without a join?
The 7610 can be manufactured in a single length of up to 600cm, ideal for long spans or full-width patio doors.

What curtain weights can the 7610 handle?
It is suitable for medium to heavy curtains and can be enhanced with optional roller gliders for very heavy or interlined curtains.

Can this system be ceiling mounted?
Yes. Top-fix brackets allow flush ceiling installation, maintaining clean lines and enabling gliders to operate without bracket interference.

What bracket spacing is recommended?
Brackets should be installed every 60–80cm depending on curtain weight and installation conditions.

Is the 7610 compatible with wave gliders?
Yes, both wave and standard gliders are supported. Wave gliders must be specified at the point of order.
